The Review:

I was sent a four song sampler by the band Fear of Flying. The songs included are "Shoreline", "All The Kings", “When You Fly” and "Freeform (live)". All are well written catchy AOR styled tunes with a heavy edge and based on this sampler, they will appeal to fans of Asia, Kansas, Saga and Yes(west) to name a few. I’d be curious to know if the band’s other songs have extended instrumental passages. As for a recommendation, all I can say is that these four songs are very nice and pleasant to listen to. I know that’s not much to say but if I had a full release to review, I’m sure they’d get a solid recommendation for sure. If this review isn’t selling you, then go to the band's website to hear more of their music and decide for yourself if Fear of Flying is your cup of tea.
