The Review:

Laser's Edge is on a roll in 2005 and the latest release, a debut by Polish band Indukti which fits in perfectly with the other bands on the label. Indukti's debut S.U.S.A.R., primarily a instrumental album with vocals parts, is equal parts vintage King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Porcupine Tree, and Tool. This gives listeners a perfect combination that doesn’t overstay it’s welcome on either end.

When the band, is in it's heaviest and in your face mode, it sounds like a mesh of the Bruford/Wetton/Cross/Fripp era King Crimson combined with Anekdoten, Tool and recent Porcupine Tree. The overall sound is thanks in part to the careful mixing of heavy, almost metal-ish riffs with bits of fusion (violin) and modern symphonic prog, thus making it one of the better releases in modern progressive rock history.

S.U.S.A.R. will definitely appeal to fans of both the heavier side of progressive rock as well as modern or nu-metal scene. To say that this is highly recommend would be an understatement!
