The Review:

This Texas based modern progressive rock band called Little King who were recently picked up by Canadian label, Unicorn Digital. From this deal, the band releases “Virus Divine”, which is based on lyrical themes from the Columbine incident years ago. The band which is fronted by singer/guitarist Ryan Rosoff, was formed about 9 years ago.

Just imagine Rush with a more alternative slant and you have the core sound of Little King. They have melodic based rock sound, which is song based rather than complex themes and instrumental parts. This is a modern band mind you so expect it to be in league with what modern music has to offer but they are much better though!

I can recommend this to fans of modern progressive rock, especially those into music with lots of singing. This is slowly becoming another repeat visitor to my CD player. Although it’s not a masterpeice, it’s very enjoyable. And that’s what music is all about, right!?!
