The Review:

Starting life as a progressive metal cover band, Memories Lab soon began to write their own songs and one of the results in 2007 is a five track demo called Empathy. This Italian quintet musically steers towards Wastefall and Pain of Salvation but with a more progressive and orchestral sound than those two bands.

Just remember this is a demo and I read that these tracks are going to be developed more for the band’s debut. They’re one of the few in the prog-metal genre that I find appealing and wanting to hear more. My favorite song from this demo is "Final Day" because it shows all of the band's dynamics.

I believe that Memories Lab has the potential to become one of the best prog-metal bands from Italy, no, the world. Still not convinced? Well you can hear some of their songs on their MySpace page for a much better idea.
