The Review:

Argentina's Uqbar were around from 1995 to 2001, during which they created some stirring and beautiful chamber music that incorporated some elements of soft jazz, folk, as well as world styles. Uqbar features two classical guitarists, clarinet, flute, cello, violin, and trombone, Uqbar weaved a gentle relaxing based music. Sometimes crossing over into the symphonic classical music territory.

Uqbar is one of those lost South American music gems, that, thanks to Viajero Inmovil, can now be heard by a wider audience. This is another release that most should proceed with caution and look for samples for a over all idea of the music.
